wah....it's been a long and boring day laa today...
but let's not talk about day,
coz i want to share with you guys bout what happens last nite...
last nite,me and a few other of my fwen went to IIUM(international islamic university malaysia,kuantan campus,indera mahkota) to join a forum talking bout the CANING TO ALCOHOL DRINKER:IS IT FAIR? that was held at kuliyyah of medicine's auditorium...
the forum was a blast....!!!
many people swarms the auditorium till many of us had to seat on the stairways...and some even stands at the back till the end of the forum...
the forum was moderated by the dean of kuliyyah of medicine,and some of the panellist are ustz,nasaruddin hasan tantawi,and two more person that i could'nt recall their name,but one of them is a syari'e lawyer and the other is the 1st vice president of GAGASAN.....
while waiting for the VIP's to arrive,the chairman played a slide show about the topic discussion.the UIA students interviewed some civilians and a few of their students about the caning issue,whether they agree on kartika's punishment,to be canned 6 times for consuming alcohol...
most of the people that had been interviewed said that the punishment was not fair too her,coz she'a a woman with kids and husband,she should'nt have been punished like that.
but from all the people that had been interviewed,i was quite shocked and amazed by this middle-aged chinese women that said why must other people interfere with what the punishments for kartika when she's the one whose willingly accepted the punishment to be canned?she agreed to be canned,so then why must other people interfere saying that the caning punishment was so cruel towards her?
her words amazed me....
really,i do...
